Local School Information

As a resident of Glen Aire, your children will have the privilege of attending a public school in the Marion County School District in the state of Florida. The local schools serving the Glen Aire residents are Sunrise Elementary School, Horizon Academy Middle School, Dunnellon High School and West Port High which has 3 magnet programs your child can apply for: Center for Arts, a visual and performing arts program, the Biomedical Science program, and the Early College program. In addition to our public schools, there are Private Schools available such as, Trinity Catholic High School, St. John’s Lutheran K-12 and several more private schools to choose from.

For your child’s continuing education, there is the College of Central Florida and the Community Technical Adult Education (CTAE), located in Ocala. Thirty-five miles to the north, in Gainesville, Florida is the University of Florida, which is ranked 47th out of 199 US colleges.
