Rx: State-of-the-art Medical Facilities Are Vital
Signs of Progress
We're in the peak of good health. Central
Florida not only has America's
healthiest climate; it
has America's best medical
facilities too. The University
of Florida is also renowned
for Shands
Memorial, one of the
world's finest research
and teaching hospitals.
We're proud of our veterans,
and veterans will be proud
to know that there's a
major VA Hospital in Gainesville
and an outstanding VA
Clinic right here in Marion
County.
The
other advanced medical
facilities of Marion County
are special too. The acute
care centers at the
Columbia
Ocala Regional Medical
Center, with its cancer
pavilion, and the Munroe
Regional Medical Center,
with its advanced Cardiac
Unit, offer advanced health
care that is second to
none. Both of these outstanding
hospitals have been named
among the top 100 cardiac
care centers in the United
States.
Right around the corner, just 3 miles from Marion Oaks, is the sprawling Timber Ridge Medical campus
with every imaginable medical practice and health care service from sports medicine to elder care to magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI).
The
Munroe Regional Medical
Center will soon be developing
a satellite hospital on
property behind Timber
Ridge, bringing state-of-the
art health care within
minutes of the residents
of Marion Oaks.
And we're proud to announce that the Ocala Regional Medical Center is building a new $50,000,000 full
service hospital right around the corner from Marion Oaks on State Road 200.
There is also an active Hospice support group in Ocala, and the community is proud of its numerous
health spas, wellness, diet and exercise centers that give health conscious residents a wide range of options.
